Have we reached out to you?
Story Gremlin is a new platform that provides customers with content in a unique manner. Our team, led by an experienced producer who runs film festivals, live productions and arts platforms, has read hundreds of short stories and watched over a thousand short films. We are looking for content that is of the highest calibre and has an enjoyable audience experience at its core.

If you've received an email from us, we've read or watched your story and we want to include it on the Story Gremlin platform. This puts you in the top 3% of creators we've reviewed while searching for great content. We've attended festivals, run competitions, advertised, randomly googled and scoured YouTube and Vimeo.

There is no cost to be included on the platform, and we don't ask for exclusive usage rights. You are paid whenever your content is included in a customer's purchase.

Want to send us your short film or short story?
We'll be totally honest with you. We weren't planning on opening up our doors for submissions. We have already found quite a lot of brilliant content and we're liaising with the creators we would like to work with.

That said, we do want everyone to have a chance at inclusion, so we've created a submission form below. Please just be aware that we are not looking for too much more content at this stage. Also, we may not respond, as we have hundreds of creators to communicate with at this stage already.

If you would like to submit, please read the requirements below carefully.
Short films

If you would like to submit a film to be considered for inclusion on the Story Gremlin platform, please ensure it meets all of these requirements.

Films must:

  • run between 6-15 minutes
  • be works of fiction – no documentaries
  • be standalone content – no episodes, web series, pilots or excerpts unless the film works as a short, with no context or explanation required
  • have fewer than 100,000 views if you have posted them online, e.g. to YouTube or Vimeo
  • not have been included on Short of the Week or Dust
  • not have any festival branding embedded in the video
  • be unencumbered by exclusive licencing agreements – you must have the rights to provide Story Gremlin with a non-exclusive licence to be considered.

Submit via email to info AT story gremlin DOT com (no spaces). Please tell us the film's duration, total view count across all platforms (e.g. YouTube + Vimeo) and any award / distribution history in your email.
Short fiction

If you would like to submit short fiction to be considered for inclusion on the Story Gremlin platform, please ensure it meets all of these requirements.

As we were not planning on accepting submissions, we have no facility to upload files. You will need to host your short story somewhere and send us a link.

Short stories must:

  • have a word count of 1,000 – 6,000 words; preferred range is 1,000 – 3,000
  • be works of fiction written for adults – no children's stories and YA is not preferred unless it also strongly appeals to an adult audience
  • be unencumbered by exclusive licencing agreements – you must have the rights to provide Story Gremlin with a non-exclusive licence to be considered.

Submit via email to info AT story gremlin DOT com (no spaces). Please tell us the word count and any award / publication history in your email.
